How It All Began
VH Nutrition is a nutritional supplement company based in sunny San Luis Obispo California, founded by lifelong friends and business partners Ian Smalley and Drew Littlejohns in 2012.
After initially eyeing sports supplements as a possible entry point into the market, the two quickly saw that that market was oversaturated, and that the product potential would be limited. The decision was made to pivot toward the much broader herbal supplement market and focus on bringing new and innovative formulaic product offerings to bear. The first of which was Eatmor in 2012 – an herbal appetite stimulant product that continues to this day to be the #1 best-selling product nationwide in this category.
Other products soon followed, and today VH Nutrition boasts an herbal formula-based line of over 40 different unique products, as well as an equally robust and growing line of single ingredient herbs.
Since its inception VH Nutrition has grown steadily, developed its processes, and is now one of the few supplement companies of any kind in the United States to manufacture its own products in its own GMP Certified Manufacturing Facility. This allows for more competitive pricing by cutting out the middleman, as well as greater control over production processes ensuring a high-quality consistent product for consumers.
The recent addition of third-party independent Lab testing on all products in 2022 ads yet another layer of quality assurance and boosted consumer confidence.

THE FOUNDERS
Ian Smalley – VH Nutrition co-founder and COO
Ian Smalley is a lifelong San Luis Obispo County CA native who is happy to wear many hats within the company. From overseeing production processes to product development and web graphics, Ian enjoys the creative side of the company as well as running the day to day and ensuring that all processes great and small within the building are running smoothly.
Outside the office Ian enjoys creating original Artwork for his local gallery THE ART OF COOL, where proceeds from sales go to support local charities. In addition, Ian is a lifelong weightlifting enthusiast (gym rat), having had successful competitive stints in both Powerlifting and Arm wrestling. “ My favorite part of this business is creating new products and bringing them to market, and then getting to see the positive effects they can have in peoples lives. Drew Littlejohns - VH Nutrition Co-founder and CEO
Drew is a Western States nomad who currently resides in Parker, CO. Within VH Nutrition he attends to every aspect of the business that does not have to deal with manufacturing. He brings over 20 years of small business expertise, marketing, and finance to the structure of the organization to make sure that the vision is secure and is able to be completed.
When not figuring out how to implement the latest and greatest technology, Drew can most often be found in the mountains. He has been climbing mountains and is currently on a quest to climb all of the 14,000 foot tall peaks in the lower 48 states. So far he has climbed 71 out of 75 and is getting closer to a vision he started as a 17 year old. He also enjoys coaching baseball, being assigned various tasks at his children's school, and playing an active role in the recovery community across the United States.
